Last show of the year

The last show for Left hand Asylum this year is fast approaching. We will be at the Gaslight Theatre’s Holiday Arts and Crafts Show  this weekend, December 22nd and 23rd from 9 am to 6 pm.  Whether it be last minute gifts or stocking stuffers, we have something for everyone – from the traditional, to things with a bit of a twist. Come on down and check us out!

Greenway

It’s hard to believe that this coming weekend is actually the first show I was asked to participate in as a guest of D Eclectic Gifts. Since committing to that show I have gained some very valuable experience, joined an Arts and Craft Association, made some mistakes, made great friends and contacts and realized that though my stuff is not for everyone, when someone that gets it comes along and appreciates the warped side of life, the feeling is amazing. Looking forward to this weekend not only to join forces with Donna again, but to help a school earn money for their band.

Gaslight and Reid Park Events

With the first of the Gaslight Craft Shows plus the Reid Park Show behind us, the holiday shopping season has officially started. The weather was gorgeous for both events. The Reid Park show gave my friend Kevin, who makes planters, his first taste of the craft fair circuit and I suspect he has been bitten by the bug and will be striking out on his own now. His tile planters, made from reclaimed tile, were a hit! I think with his own space they will be better showcased and fly off the shelves! Many thanks go out to Craig, KC, Tina and Deboraha for their help with these events, love you my friends (hug).

Next Event Scheduled

November 24-25

“The best little Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror Con in Arizona”

Joining my friends at D Eclectic gifts to get a little taste of the convention circuit. Stop on by to say hello to the Master Jewelry Queen Donna, KC and myself!

Left Hand Asylum goes back to school

In the middle of the first of our 2 day rummage sale at my complex I was able to take a few hours reprieve and head off to one of the local schools to assist in a craft project with 22 kindergarteners. I volunteered to help my friend Lori, a member of a local craft group I am in and also mother to one of the kids (Douglas) in the class to make spiders. The energy level was high, the kids were so well behaved (even the biggest kid, me) and the crafting went by smoothly with all the kids having a blast, I even received high fives and hugs at the end….really made my day!. Ms. Palmer’s class, I can not wait for our follow up craft projects to come! Oh, and didn’t do too shabby on the first day of the rummage sale either, made enough to get my banners printed up, plus money to spare!
